Our Advisors
NurtureBio’s Scientific Advisory Board brings together leading experts in pediatrics, microbiome science, and human milk biology to guide our research and product development. Their expertise helps ensure every NurtureBio solution is grounded in rigorous science and focused on real‑world impact for families.

James Versalovic, MD, PhD
Dr. Versalovic is a pediatric pathologist and microbiome scientist who leads research and diagnostic services at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. His work has helped define how the microbiome and metagenomic medicine can be used to diagnose and treat pediatric gastrointestinal and infectious diseases.

Ardythe Morrow, PhD
Dr. Morrow is an epidemiologist specializing in maternal–infant health, breastfeeding, and the early-life microbiome. She has led major birth cohort studies in term and preterm infants and advises global health organizations on human milk, infant nutrition, and infectious disease.

David Newburg, PhD
Dr. Newburg is a leading glycobiologist whose research focuses on the glycobiology of human milk, especially human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). His work has been central to understanding how HMOs protect infants by supporting beneficial microbes, blocking pathogens, and modulating gut inflammation.

Diana Taft, PhD
Dr. Taft is a microbiologist studying the development of the infant gut microbiome and how infants acquire both beneficial microbes and antimicrobial resistance genes. Her research spans epidemiology, immunogenetics, and microbiology to better understand early-life colonization and its impact on lifelong health.
