NurtureBio is a gentle, science-backed synbiotic supplement created with love for infants and toddlers from birth up to 48 months. It combines prebiotics and probiotics to closely mimic the natural nurturing benefits of breast milk. When breastfeeding isn’t possible or ends early, NurtureBio helps fill that important gap by supporting your little one’s gut and immune health, giving them a strong and healthy start in life.
Our unique formula goes beyond standard probiotics by combining both prebiotics and probiotics in one carefully balanced blend. The prebiotics, including special human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), nourish the good bacteria in your baby’s developing gut, just like breast milk does. Meanwhile, the probiotics are live, beneficial microbes that quietly settle in, building a robust and healthy gut microbiome that supports your baby’s comfort today and their wellness for years to come.
NurtureBio gently supports your baby’s gut health every day. By improving the balance of beneficial microbes, it can help ease uncomfortable symptoms like fussiness and gassiness. Over time, nurturing a healthy gut helps build a strong foundation that supports your baby’s immune system and digestion. We choose every ingredient carefully, based on scientific research that focuses on infants and toddlers, so you can feel confident in giving your baby the best.
NurtureBio contains four well-studied, infant-friendly probiotic strains, known to be gentle and effective in supporting gut colonization. We list them by full strain designation:
- Bifidobacterium infantis Rosell®-33: a dominant species in the breastfed infant gut, supporting digestion and gut barrier integrity.
- Bifidobacterium bifidum Rosell®-71: supports balanced gut flora and helps break down milk sugars.
- Bifidobacterium bifidum HA-132: works alongside Rosell®-71 to support milk digestion.
- Limosilactobacillus reuteri Rosell®-444: studied for digestive comfort, including fussiness, gas, and crying, and for gut immune support.
These are paired with our HMO blend (2'-FL/DFL, LNT, 6'-SL, 3'-SL), the prebiotics that feed these bacteria.
This selection has been scientifically shown to increase beneficial bacteria in infants' guts, helping develop a balanced microbiome similar to that of breastfed babies, and supporting digestion and immune development in the earliest months and years.
A note on strain names. The number or code after the species name identifies the specific strain, and it matters. Two products can list the same species and contain entirely different strains with different research behind them. We publish ours in full so you can compare at the strain level.
Synbiotics combine both probiotics—live beneficial microbes—and prebiotics, which feed those microbes. This dual action helps promote a healthier, more stable gut environment than probiotics alone. Prebiotics like human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) mimic those naturally found in breast milk, nourishing good bacteria and helping them flourish, while probiotics introduce helpful microbes. Together, they create a gut environment more like that of a breastfed infant.
Human milk oligosaccharides are produced via a fermentation process of metabolically engineered yeast strains. This converts simple sugars into specific HMO structures that are designed to mimic certain carbohydrates found in breast milk.
